Cheques worth Rs. 55 million found in train

Railway security officers had found a file belonging to a company in Boralesgamuwa containing cheques over Rs. 56 million in a compartment of the express train from Colombo to Kandy yesterday (26).

The file was found by Railway Guard Dayaratne, who had taken measures to locate the passenger to whom the file belonged to and had handed it over. There were several cash cheques too among them.
