Cuban residents, most of them traveling in the aircraft, are said to be two Argentinas and several Mexicans, according to Reuters.
President Miguel Diaz-Canel has said that the crash was one of the most unfortunate insident in Cuban's history.
It is the worst air crash since Cuba since 1980 and the Cuban government has named it a national day of mourning.
The plane crashed in a Cuban airplane, a crafted flight from Cuban State Airways, a Mexican-based company.Last November , the Cuban government had confirmed that there was no technical flaw in the plane.
There is no specific reason for the plane crashing, and international media say that investigations are under way.
The plane was built in 1979.
