Development Lotteries Board has initiated a programme to grant appointments of sales agent as self-employment to youths affected by war situation in North and East. Under the programme for providing sales outlets to such sales agents to maintain their business activities more conveniently and systematically, the ceremony to mark the provision of sales outlets to 100 sales agents in Ampara and Batticaloa districts was held successfully at Monti Hotel, Ampara on 04.03.2018.
Under this prigramme 30 outlets were provided for sales agents in Trincomalee district in January and in the meantime 45 and 25 outlets were provided respectively for sales agents in Ampara and Batticaloa districts under the patronage of Mr. Sena Suriyapperuma, Chairman of DLB.
This event, which was organized to lend a hand to sales agents, who work with DLB making the lives of the people a success, action was taken to appreciate their tremendous service. Therefore the cheques with cash prizes were awarded to 14 sales agents in Ampara and Batticaloa districts, who have enhanced the sales of these areas.
Mr. H.R.Wimalasiri, Working Director, Mr. Anura Jayaratna, Acting General Manager and officers of DLB participated in this occasion.
