He told the media after an alms giving at Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy today (05) that the UNP’s policy in the past three years did not suit the country. Therefore, rather than expelling the PM, the party with bad policies should be expelled, he said.
Rajapaksa also said he believed the group against the government should sit in the opposition. They will be joined by the people who will take to the streets if the opposition fails to expel the party that is incapable of ruling the country democractically, he said.
The MP also said that the country would not have been left with any of its resources if not for the executive presidency. There is a certain level of control due to the executive, he said, adding that that position should remain until the country became free of international interventions.
