Russian embassy agrees to pay bail money for its spy

Russian embassy agrees to pay bail money for its spy
Previously, we reported about this spy, sought by the US.  The CID arrested and produced him before courts. While out on bail, he fled to Russia by the private jet of a top Russian national with the help of a government personality.

When he was produced before courts, six residents of Weligama placed bail for him. They went to the Russian embassy and complained tearfully that they could not pay the Rs. 3.5 million bail money. An embassy official agreed to pay the amount.

As previously reported by us, Fardov intervened in the US presidential election as a cyber activist. That is why he is wanted by the US. The Russian embassy’s coming forward to pay the bail money establishes that its government was behind making arrangements for him to flee to his home.

The son of a renowned former chief justice is in charge of mutual legal assistance at the attorney general’s department. He is not corrupt or fraud, but is a born lethargic. His laziness is the cause of the case files sought by the Sri Lankan branch of Interpol being piled up. When Fardov was given bail, a revised application could have been filed seeking his remand. But, the AG’s department did not it, paving the way for him to flee the country.
