Disabled voters can be accompanied by an assistant to mark the ballot papers - EC


The Election Commission further says that the accompanying person should be more than 18 years old, not a contesting candidate, not an authorized agent or polling agent.

In order to be accompanied by a person the disabled voter must  obtain a Certificate of Eligibility by filling an application form which could be collected from the Grama Niladhari in the area or downloaded from the web site, www.elections.gov.lk.

Disabled voters who are unable to bring a person to assist can cast his vote with the help of the senior Presiding Officer  in the presence of another officer as in the previous elections Read More .
