Dinesh behind House clash

Joint opposition’s Dinesh Gunawardena and others are behind it. He behaved in an unruly and ugly manner and demanded the speaker to table the report. That was intentional, as the speaker said in advance that the report would not be tabled on that day, says the speaker’s office in a statement.

 

With the backing of Dinesh and others, opposition MPs came to the Well of the House and disrupted the proceedings that led to a clash between the government and the opposition. The speaker’s office added in that statement that it was sorry to learn about the baseless, malicious, false allegations being circulated in society over the matter.
