What is said before sitting on the president’s seat is different from what is done thereafter. The incumbent is no different. People are disappointed with politics. The bond commission and serious financial fraud commission reports were tabled in parliament. Both have thousands of pages. If the people read these reports, they will know in detail how the politicians and the bureaucrats plunder the public money. Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa is directly involved in the ITN matter. The report says the Rajapaksa regime had sucked that institution into nothingness. It also details how Wimal Weerawansa distributed houses and stalls. Also that Gotabhaya Rajapaksa gave Avante Garde to a friend. The bond transaction loss to the Central Bank is Rs. 8,500 million of EPF money. They do all these things from this fund. How difficult is it to rob? But, they do not shed a drop of sweat. These are called white collar swindling. That means there is not even a dot of blemish in the collar. Mahinda Rajapaksa, Ranil Wickremesinghe or Maithripala Sirisena cannot say they will stop plundering. We have the challenge of building the economy and saving the country from plunderers. Who can do that?”
