Kurunegala young man goes to France and wins Best Model award
A youth from Galewala in Kurunegala has eclipsed contestants from 174 countries at the Best Model of the World, 2017 competition held in the town of Paris, France recently and has emerged claiming first position as the best model. He is one Januka Rajapaksha. This is considered as the first occasion where a young man from Sri Lanka has
won first place in an international contest such as this.Jannuka who is an Old Boy of Kurunegala Maliyadeva College is someone who has won second position in Sirasa Manhunt 2014 contest. Later he had joined in with the aforementioned tournaments in 2015 and has become second; clinching first place in this contest. Some days ago when he arrived in Sri Lanka after his victory, a special celebration was organised to welcome him from the airport, upto his home.
