The Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward and Countess of Wessex Sophie Rhys-Jones represented Her Majesty, the Queen Elizabeth II at the celebrations. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, The Chief Justice, Ministers and MPs, Governors, Chief Ministers, Secretary to the President Austin Fernando, public servants, Ambassadors, foreign dignitaries and many others   grace the occasion.
