The magistrate will send the statement to the attorney general’s department which will refer it to the CID. The AG will also submit its excerpts to the Supreme Court when it takes up a FR petition filed by former IGP Jayantha Wickremaratne seeking an order against his arrest.
Lawyers hope the murder investigation will gather pace due to the revelations Adhikari has made.
