According to the Index, which measures 156 countries in terms of happiness, Sri Lanka has increased 4 steps up from last year from 120 to 116.
In the South Asian region, Pakistan leads the list at 75, followed by Bhutan – 95, Nepal – 101, India -113, Bangladesh 115 and Myanmar at 130. While Finland tops the list, Burundi in Africa is ranked as the least happy country.
