Those who criticize govt. better sit in the opposition – Rajitha

Some try to create a non-existent dispute between the president and the prime minister. 

It will soon be evident if those attempts are being made at the instigation of the Rajapaksas, said health minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne.

Speaking with a group of media personnel at his ministry, he said he was at the forefront of safeguarding the president and the PM. The government should be protected. The Rajapaksa-led joint opposition moved the no-confidence motion against the PM, which is aimed at covering up the court cases against them. Some government ministers and MPs cannot understand that and make various statements.

What should be done now is not changing leaders, but developing the country and facing the 2020 election. The SLFP and the UNP joining together can win the election. The JO is trying to prevent that from happening. Those who criticize the government while remaining its members should better sit in the opposition, he added.
