President Maithreepala Sirisena concluded the first session of the 8th parliament recently and the second session will be commenced today.
The President will preside and address the inaugural parliament today. Also, he will present the government’s policy statement.
Moreover, 16 former members of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party will sit in the opposition today.
